Default Quiver or no quiver?

Ok, am I the only one that takes the quiver off when in the stand? I just think that the colors from the other 3 arrows is like holding a flag up for the deer to spook. Anyone else do this or am I just wierd?

On a side note: My rages dont like the quiver. Even after opening up the hole with a knife to make it a little bigger they are still opening up on me if the arrow moves the slightest bit. I actually had one nocked and when I put my bow on the hanging rest, the tip barely hit a limb and one of the blades came out of the retaining ring. Anyone that shoots rages ever put a rubber band around them when in the quiver? I tried it and it works well.

I take mine off because I practice with it off. So why would I try shooting a deer with it on, right?

Yes you can put a rubber band on the Rages.......I was putting them on the blade shoulders but I actually think the middle might be an even better spot. It seems that as soon as the blades start to engage the band gets cut and out of the way.
still playing with them like this but right around the middle on that notch seems pretty good at this point.

I would NEVER hunt with my bow with a quiver on........YUCK. [:'(]Unless I got got caught walking in and had to take a shot I don't shoot or hunt with it on the bow. It has nothing to do with spooking animals it's all about balance and shootability for me. Shooting a high performance perfectly balanced compound with a heavy quiver on it is like racing a superbike with a sidecar attached.

Everyone I hunt with or know takes their quivers off in the treestand.

I for some reason always keep my quiver on my bow. I feel that its something less that I have a chance of bumping. The way my luck would be, I would bump it as I just settled in and I would watch it tumble to the ground.

I don't practice or hunt with it on. It's simply to carry my arrows in and out of the woods.Just something else to get in the way, or be a potential noise maker.[:@]

I shoot and practice with my quiver off...I feel more balanced when I shoot

If the rage's come open when you just hang your bow up or bump and arrow in your quiver... what do you think is going to happen when you actually shoot one? I'd put bands on them and leave them on all the time... I don't think the force of impact on a deer is going to stop those blades from coming open from a little rubber band. But having one open in flight is going to be like trying to throw a dart sideways.

I shoot with mine attached ,cuz you never know when you gotta take the shot . Its also less to snag on foliage , while creeping about . Might be different if i was sat in a stand all day , but i do see where you are coming from with the Rage in the quiver.
They can end up opening and that means fiddling at a possible vital time , think i might try the rubber band too .
