Ohio - Let this one walk
I was tempted, but I am hunting for something much larger. This nice 2.5 year old 8-pointer taunted me all afternoon. It was the biggest buck I saw all weekend. I will keep my chin up and get back out there next weekend. Hey, there is always the rut!

Way to hold off man. I saw a nice 2.5 year old myself yesterday afternoon but was able to hold off!

Good choice. I don't think you'll regret passing on him.

That's gonna be a GIANT in a couple years, if he makes it there.

Hopefully he will make it... Now I just have to convince everyone else to let him walk!

Where in Ohio were you hunting? I can't wait to get out for the first time this coming October when I come home for a week.

You have my respect! And to think I was proud of myself for passing on a couple of 6 points last year.
I don't know if I'd have been able to pass that one up or not since I'm still after my first bow buck. What was Mowbow's old signature... "Does fear me... bucks merely laugh."

RE: Ohio - Let this one walk
This happened to me last season, passed on some of those "iffy" bucks and ended up not filling my buck tag. But hey, at least there's gonna be more shooter bucks running around this year!!!
