Went up to a homemade stand at the back of the property yesterday around 3:45. Got all setup only to realize I left my release at the farm. What an idiot! Drove back to the house, grabbed the release and headed back. Around 5:50 a doe and fawn pop into the food plot from out of nowhere, and there I am sitting in a campers chair with the bow on the hanger! Somehow I managed to get to a standing position and get my bow without being noticed. I waited for her to turn her back to draw, but then she stays facing away from me. After what seemed like an eternity, she ever so slightly quartered toward me and I decided it was do or die. Zapped her at about ten yards and she hopped the fence, running down a trail about 40 yards before piling up. Like I said, she was severely quartering to me, but the Rage broadhead left an amazing blood trail. Anyway, it all turned out for the best- she is in the freezer and didn't suffer long at all. I am pretty pumped...
