Default Whisker Biscuit is LOUD!!

So i was out for opener of bow season here in MI and had a nice doe come out right away. I decided to shoot her, well lets just say i got my arrow pulled back about 3 inches and the noise of my arrow sliding over the biscuit shot her into orbit. Same thing happened to another deer an hour later. Has anyone had this problem and what do you do about it. Pretty sure this will be the last year with the whisker biscuit.

You didn't notice this "noise" BEFORE you went hunting?

i had the same problem. either buy a wisker biscuit with a bigger hole or buy skinnier arrows.

i switched to a octane hostage pro and the difference was amazing

Robv--I shot my first few deer with a whisker biscuit--liked the accuracy and simplicity, hated the noise from hell. That is why I switched arrow rests.

Blasphemy LMAO, your not the first to say the WB is loud but there will be those that say the opposite. I'd bet it has to do with what arrow your drawing.

Hmm, I have been looking at this rest, I need a replacement to mine, and I like that it holds the arrow in while drawing back, but if its too loud, then Its not really an option for me.

Are you using aluminum or Carbon arrows?

I never had mine do this, i would say the bisket needs to be replaced. The bristles may be weathered and hard instead of soft causing a fingernail on the chalk board noise.

Mine is very quiet. Is there a chance the noise could be coming from something else?
