Default Albany, We have a Problem.

Went to get my hunting tags today. No doe tags (DMP) because they dont issue them after Oct. 1st. The guy said that they may release more on Nov. 1st depending on how many were given out. So I have 1 either sex tag for bow and a Buck tag for shotgun that I can fill with archery equipment. So here is the problem, If I see a doe before Nov. 1st,
Im going to shoot it. But that would mean that im tagged out till the 1st where there is only a chance I can get more doe tags only. This would mean the only buck I could shoot would be during shotgun season. Im so stupid for waiting this long to get my tags.

Be disciplined and only hunt for a buck until you acquire doe tags. ?[&:] Simple fix, why deprive yourself a buck with your bow when the chances of taking doe later on are so much better.

Agreed, waiting is always a bonehead move...the easy fix is this, dont shoot a doe until after Nov1 when you get another tag, unless you are fine with not having a very good shot at a buck. If I were in your place Id buck hunt until I had extra doe tags.

Because I dont have a deer under my belt yet, It would be way to hard to pass 1 up.

Hey, you should have bought your super sportsman license and you'd also have an muzzleloader/bow antlerless and Muzzleloader/bow tag of either sex you could shoot.

Again, it's called discipline.

Well, I have a lot of discipline when it comes to other stuff like workout routines and shooting routines but, I guess I can go get that muzzeloader permission if I cant hold out.

You have nothing to complain about In my opinion. Be happy you have at least one tag you can use now. When I started bow hunting In 1986 we only had one tag for bow hunting. I was happy to shoot whatever walked In front of me.

Get out there and go hunting with what you got and worry about the other stuff later on.
