Default Good or bad genetics?

I got a few pictures of this 6 point the last week or so. I can't make up my mind for sure on what age he really Is. I'm pretty sure he's a 2.5 year old but maybe I'm wrong. If this Is his 1st rack, I would be ecstatic! His body looks awfully big though for a 1.5 year old buck. When you look at his head his nose Is really short but his head Is blocky looking. The short looking nose tells me he' a 1.5 year old, the blocky head tells me he's older then that.

Whats your take?

I don't know really how to age deer but regardless he is a nice looking buck. Hopefully if he is young and makes it to next season he will be even nicer.

Thats a nice looking buck, 2-1/2 year old. You can tell by the short face, no sag in the belly, I think he has the potential to be a good buck. I would give him a couple years. But thats just me.

Yeah great genetics and good size for his age...let him grow and then slam him when the time is right. Good Luck!
