Bagged a nanny today which was cool b/c it's my first with a bow. The pics are on someone else's camera right now so I can't post -- plus they ended up being kind of an after thought...so they're not as good as they should be for my first [:@]. Nevertheless, I'm pumped about it.

Good luck to you when you make it out.

Yep, shot a doe this afternoon. Feels good to go ahead and break the ice. My mind is on bucks only now.

I didn't even see a deer yesterday. I was baffled. Yesterday morning was great, cool and the acorns fell all morning, fresh droppings all the way to the stand, very little wind but in the right direction...nothing! Yesterday afternoon, around 78 deg and muggy..went to a new spot with even more acorns and a creek with water, found several piles of droppings and a few rubs and tracks, this has always been a go to place for at least a doe.....NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!! I was dissapointed to say the least... I really wanted to try the ol Rage 2 blades , but we'll see, this week is going to be good except the 82 deg weather on Mon. Congrats to all the VA boys that scored!!

I didn't see one neitheryesterday. It was my first hunting day ever. I went to quantico at noon. Since I am not familar with the place, I had a long scouting across through the forest. No deer sign at all. Met several other hunters, they saw some does that morninig, but no in shoot range. I don't expect to score on the first day any way. But it was a lot of fun just to walk in the woods myself. Good luck to all hunters here!

I saw a total of nine does. Blew the only opportunity I had when I waited too long to draw. The weather yesterday morning was great though.
