Default Thank your hunting partner!

Those of you that have a hunting partner are very lucky. I realized this today when taking down my ladder stand by myself. Now normally hieghts dont scare me but taking the straps off and just leaning against the tree is. Iwasso afraidI was going to fall. No harness either. Not to me ntion the other joys of hunting with friends. You guys are just so lucky and I envy you.

I could not find a way to wear a harness and take down the stand at the same time.

Well my uncle started his before the season work thing. He will work 12 hour days 7 days a week for like 2-3 weeks and then he will have a month off to hunt. For putting it back up, I might use screw in steps to get up there so I can attach the straps without being on it without somebody holding it.

I know what you mean.I hunt entirely alone. But there is an up side. You don't have to worry about your hunting buddy, wheather or not he is sitting still,if he is staying put when he should.I used to hunt with my brother in law but he is very unethical and I ditched him.I also hunt out of ladder stand and take them down and put them up by myself.Take a ladder with you when you put them up and take them down.and put it up against the back of the tree and then lean your stand up against it and just climb up the ladder and put your straps on,same way when taking it down.It might be a little more to carry through the woods, but its a whole lot safer and easier!

I am blessed with many hunters in my family and freinds circle. My brother has always been my #1 partner. Alot of my buds are gone at school or working full time and my brother is only 15which means he's always home. We have had alot ofgood memories in the feild.

I try to hunt with friends as often as possible, as it helps with safety and the overall experience! Just be careful out ther 360!!! Also get one of your buddies from school into the sport...even if you have to share the spots you will develop a stronger friendship...
