Default welll i missed...

i set up a blind on the edge of the field ive been talking about. i just made it out of sticks and what not.

well a bigdoe comes out, rite at 30 yds. i drew back, everything was almost perfect. i let it fly, and she just stood there looking at me. i went for another arrow and she took off

the only thing that i can think of that went wrong was my bow/arrow was COVERED in rain/sleet. we got hammered with a storm here in ny

i shot underneath her, so would the extra weight of the rain/sleet on my arrow throw my shot off? thats what im thinking.

and please do not tell me i need to practice. i practice every day and can shoot 2inch groups at 30 yds consistantly.

It happens.

How positive are you she was 30 yards? Was this an estimation or laser ranged?

Practicing and hunting are two different things. The real deal is way different. Do you get excited when practicing? You've got to keep it all together at the moment of truth. Nobody is perfect and I would rather miss the deer than make a bad hit and not find it. I don't think the rain would effect the arrow that bad, but that I don't know because I haven't shot at a deer in the rain. It's too bad you missed but it's life. I think it just wasn't her time to go. Better luck next time!

Must be northern zone, I'm totally jealous.

BTW, it'll happen. Lots of factors could have contributed. Shake it off and stay confident.
