I tell you what for you all that havnt smoked venison. I have two words for you, try it! OMG was it good. For a old deer 8 hrs with apple wood smoke all I did was rub it down with Montreal and Lowreys. And damn! To say the least. It fed8 addults with about 2 lb. left over.
You dont even have to shoot one, just let me know when you want a feast. I have a moose roast, Carabou quarter, 3 King Salmon, 2 Lakers, 1 Deer hind 1/4 in the freezer among others. Let me know when you want what!
my buddies mom somehow roasted or did something with a hind quarter....i cant even remember what it was...but it was AMAZING....fed a ton of us at a sporting clays shoot....
