Default Bows walked out of my local archery shop

I went by Jeffery's Archery here in Columbia,SC to cut some arrows down this afternoon. While talking w/ the owner, I asked if he had sold the Switchback I just traded in last week and he tells me someone walked into his store during a busy time and walked out w/ 2 bows, including the one I just traded in.[:@] Can you believe the nerve of some people. I hate to think that one of our own would be capable of such a despicable act. Let me retract that statement, he's definitely not one of ours. Could you imagine if one of the customers had realized what was happening and called the guy out to everyone else in the shop. An ol' school Mike Tyson sack beating.

Some of you may know of the owner's(Tom) father Owen Jeffery. He was an Olympic archery coach, a big wig w/ Hoyt, a big wig w/ Shakespear, manufactured his own bows, and he still loves to stick pigs w/ traditional equip.I forget to mention, he's like 80yrs old.

Actually my logic is perfect. My spelling isn't.

His job is to sell bows right?
If he is missing 2 bows and didnt get payed for them he is out.
I could see if it was after hours and they were ungaurded.
Mabey he should inlist some more help?
It is no different then sombody failing at thier job.

If you can't spell, maybe you shouldn't bother responding like that

Really sorry to hear about that Brian, hopefully it won't happen again.

~~ What are you talking about?? Man, thats a shame though!! He could always do what a local shop here did, someone stole a release and in the now empty release box he has a note...." A thief stole this, hope he falls from his treestand"!! I always get a lil chuckle from it when I walk by!!

Your logic is far from perfect. BTW...so is your spelling.
Stealing is stealing, I don't give a flying fajita what your logic is.

No, no one failed at their job. Some piece of crap just wanted a freebie. If anything, the shop owner is guilty of trusting people to freely check out his merchandise. That does not mean he is in the wrong business or failing at his job.

I've been to quite a few shops that keep their bows hanging in the open for the customer to inspect for themselves. One or two guys working that shop (occupied with other customers) can't watch everyone.

Are we really surprised? Every year we read of stolen treestands, stolen game cameras etc.. Who do we think is doing the stealing? And we wonder why hunters are looked down upon. I loath liars and thieves.
