Default Hunting with the Limb Driver

Anyone hunt with this rest? I got it this spring and have used it for the entire summer (target season) but now that hunting season is here.......I'm considering switching back to a full containment style fall away rest.

Any input?

IMO..You don't need a full containment rest in a treestand. Unless, your planning on laying your bow across your lap.
So tell me about the Limb Driver...what's your take?
I'm thinking about going to a limb driver or whammy.

Yeah I am not sure either I dont own one but probably will on my next bow. The arrow should lay in the prongs fairly well(I thought)?? Also they make them lil arrow holders that you can put on the shelf of the riser....Have you thought of that??

I'm hunting with the Limb Driver, there are no issues with it as with any other rest. I'm not sure what the concern is? The arrow holder on the front of the shelf holds the arrow, the Limbdriver picks it up on draw, the arrow drops on release. Hopefully you have a major hit and it's a good day afield.

This guy seemed to do ok with one...

Actually, I think almost all of us on the Corporate Staff hunts with at least one or more of them...

I use the Mathews drop away rest which is the same concept, I have that sticky arrow holder that you put on the shelf, and as I draw back the prongs lift my arrow straight out of it, I love it, super quiet and the same arrow flight each time.

No problems whatsoever. Like Rob said, the arrow holder is very effective. I can turn my bow upside down and the arrow still stays put. Don't waste your time changing rests.

Worked good for me....it worked good for me last year too. I use one of the Limbsaver arrow holders with it, with no issues.

Never had a problem with it. And I've been on stalks, not only in the tree stand.

I must be the only idiot on earth who can't that rest to shoot right off my bow. In fact, I had it on 3 bows this month, and I can't get it to shoot. But if it did...I'd hunt with it in a minute.

Something to think about.....on archery talk there is a guy that builds the rope for the limbdriver out of bowstring. you just have to give him a measurement.

never heard anybody talk about it on here, so I thought I'd put it up for y'all. It's pretty slick and worth the $12.
