tall grassy fields and deer
my main spot i have to choices. walk straight through a open long field 300 yards. then turn right or west and go 50 yards to my stand.
The field is made up of some sorghum and weeds.
They plowed the dirt and disked it alittle but it is rough.
Do to rain they never replanted the field so it is mainly weeds waist high or so. I figure they will die off and drop to knee or feet high.
Or i can walk through the woods about 50 yards wide between the field and creek i will hunt.
There are alot of trails on both sides of the creek running across the creek and from each field on each side of the wood line.
I will be sitting just southeast of a thicket i think is a bedding area.
Could the deer be bedding in the grass or in the thicket.
Should i walk through the field or these woods to get to my stand.
