I have been bowhunting for 43 years and reach my 70th year in two days. Many days of thise years were spent chasingelk up one drainage and down another.
A week ago today I finally scored on a nice 5X5bull. My arrow passed through his heart that he didn't even flintch or jump; instead he traveled another 35 to 40 yards, laid down and it was over. As the subject topic says he was not the Monarch of the Forest but he is all mine. Besides if his antlers were any bigger I would not be able to hang the antler mount on my living room wall. He was truly a Gift form God.

Founder of the Annual DIY MB bear hunt thread. Its bear hunting time folks and I am getting ready again.
Congratulations Richard (can't say Dick). Definetly a fine bull to be proud of.
I can only hope I can still go elk hunting at 70 years young. Awesome job man!
