Default A different kind of hunting

I was out at my property on Sunday. I was walking across the field I had plowed for food plots and warm season grass planting. I found an arrowhead, so I started really looking for them. It seems the remnants of IKE has washed off quite a few. Some are roughed versions to be completed later and others are pretty nice ones.

I must have had an Indian village on my property at one time to have found this many in one area. I am going to have to do some more exploring and see what I can find.

Here are the pics.

A close up of the nicest ones.

Thats cool. I have a friend that goes in a 10 acre field everytime the farmer tills it up and searches. He has quite a nice collection. Its nice to try to imagine what the surroundings looked like last time a human touched that.

Hey John, that white onein the bottom pic, top row, right sidestill looks sharp.

You should tape it on one of your arrows andsmoke a dandy for Team 20.

Very cool though. It amazes me to think somebody may have killed something with anyone of those heads a long time ago.

Like Jimmy said too, try to think of what the last person who touched that looked like.

HMMM.......how bout that.
They actually look like spear points and hand tools to me moreso than arrowheads?.......They look too bulky and rounded.
Itwould be neat to see if someone with knowledge of stone tools could chime in and say what they really are. Me I just watch too much Discovery, National Geographic.
Nice find!
I'm so not observant when it comes to stuff like that, I probably would have just walked right on by them.
