Default Thinking ahead (already)

I have started thinking about changes I want to make for next year. I figure I have a couple of weeks until season opens, so I will put my brain to productive use. I am thinking about putting out food plots next spring. Have any of you had experience with "no plow" mixes? Do they really work? I have the ability to get equipment in there, but would like to avoid it, if possible.

We put in a couple of no plow plots at one of our properties this year. They are doing so hot. The problem is not the seed, its the lack on sunshine they're getting. There are some clover sprouts but not like we wanted. Next year, we'll pick a better spot.

The two spots I have in mind will get a good half a day of sun on each. (One in the morning and one in the afternoon.)

i have some thro n' gro that i planted and it was sprouted within 4 days and has really taken off.. Its real thick and has worked very well.. The plot we made is half clover and half thro n' gro... believe it or not right now they are skipping over the clover and eating the thro n' gro which is mostly just grass...

If it's young, green, and tender they'll eat it no matter what it is.
