Default Volunteer Charity Donations-Are We Doing it This Year?

For those that didn't know, last year we had a thread where anyone could volunteer to donate whatever they wanted to any charity they chose based on what they shot that year. For example, some guys chose to donate a flat rate of say $50 per deer, or $25 per doe and $50 per buck. Others chose to donate a flat rate for does and a rate based on inches of antler for the bucks they shot.

The bottom line is that it was a lot of fun and helped out a lot of good causes.

Anyone interested in doing it again?

Also, if you donated last year tell us what you donated and to whom.

I was obligated to donate $85 for the deer I shot and gave $100 to the Susan G. Komen breast cancer fund.

I donated 3 deer, yesterday, to a family I know can use the meat.

Last year....I donated $200 (based on me killing THE buck I was after) to Farmcntry's group (youthoutsideconnection).

You couldn't pick a better Org. to donate money to.....and I hope everyone keeps Keith's group in mind if they choose (and are able) to give. If you're able....this is a fun way to do it. If you're not.....do what's right by your family.

Good reminder, Bry.

I would get in touch with the Catch a Dream foundation. They do a lot of charitable work involving getting those that are disabled out into the wood or streams so they can enjoy the outdoors. They should be able to point you in the right direction.

That is a very admirable thing you are looking to do. Kudos!

We need the option to vote for multiple options. For example, if I had the choice I would have voted for "it sounds like a great idea" and "quik needs to donate the family jewels"[:-]
