Default Economical Bow

I have been shooting the same bow for around 10 years now and would like to upgrade. I would love to have one of the new top of the line bows out there but at the same time I don't want to break the bank to get one. After all is said and done I would like to drop somewhere in the range of $700~$800 for a fully set up bow. What bow or bows would you recommend that might fall in that price range? Also would you recommend buying one of the less expensive bows new or try to buy used a top of the line bow a year or two old for the same amount?

I would get a new bow. That way you get the warranty that goes with it, if you plan on keeping the bow for a while, the warranty can be invaluable. Most companies mid-level bows fully decked out will run in your price range and even some of the top of the line bows from last years models will squeak in under the cap as well, so now it's up to you to go out and shoot as many as you can.

Bear makes a great line of econmical bows, the Lights Out is highly recomended and sold in my area, its a great shooting bow and probably all youd need, you can get the Lights Out RTS for 350.00-400.00, thats what Im treating myself to next spring and will keep my Nova as a back up and then hand it down to my son when hes ready to bow hunt.

I hate to say it, but check out ebay. You can find a great bow for what your wanting to spend, and cheaper. I bought a BowTech Allegience off there and it's been an a amazing bow. I think I only spent $550 for it completly set-up. As long as you watch the fedback and ask lots of questions, you'll be ok.

You can get a Diamond Rock for $449-$499 setup if you like a shorter ata bow and still have plenty of money left for a new release, arrows, and a new target.
