To tryand make a long story short. I gave a friend, who has never shot a bow or killed a deer, a loaner bow w/ all the fixins anda crash course on bowhunting(a lot of which I learned here BTW).After a considerable amount of timetarget shootin',he's proven that he can shoot 3" or better groups at 20yds. Only time will tell if he can makean ethicalshot when it counts.
He sat on stand a couple of weeks ago for the first time and actually draws on a doe. Shequartering to, doesn't presentan opportunity to take an ethical shot and he lets down

Since then he's been in the stand about 10 of the last 14 days, has seen deer, but no opportunity for the shot.This past weekend I set up a feeder by his stand, so its only a matter of time now. I'm so pumped for him. There will definitely be pics when he closes the deal on his1st deer, w/ a bow no less.
He won't be able to hunt this week due to work, but I have a feeling its gonna happen this weekend. You guys will be the first to know when it does.And the icing on the cake...his wife loves venison and doesn't mind him spending countless hours on stand. Go figure...I wish my wife was more understanding, but thats a story for another day.
