Default Found a new goal for the upcoming season...

I went out this evening to get a little last minute scouting done. Saw a couple rubs and a few other promising signs. I get to my destination and hear something moving in the bushes. It was a raccoon. I watched it for about thirty minutes until it finally saw me and it shimmied up the tree, all within twenty yards of me. See below video.

Here's the goal part. Right about as the raccoon gets up to the top of the tree I hear some movement behind me. It was a couple of does. However, one was not your average doe. She was a piebald. Beautiful deer. So hopefully I can connect on her. Sorry, no pics of her. She was too far out. Enjoy the video.

Ive heard that a coon in broaddaylight is a bad thing. Usually sick from what i have been told by some buddies that have coon hunted all their lives.

Finch,

I exclusively hunted a piebald doe a few years ago. I passed up some nice bucks when she was in sight but not in range. She was like a ghost, with all that white on her I couldn't believe how she could just materialize. Good luck.

If this is the same doe than I know for a fact she has a piebald brother too. I saw the two of them last year near the end of season. I sort of thought my eyes were playing tricks on me but I guess not. Thanks.

This was about an hour and a half before dark when I saw this raccoon. Trust me, I was a little freaked out at first too but it appeared normal (no staggering, etc).
