Default My cuddeback is broke, so much for my bow season scouting

Ok.. I have had my camera out since bucks started growing antlers. I have not had any pics and couldn't believe it. The camera would have a pic every once in a while of just forest..

Well I finally tested it after bringing it home and found that it is not saving pics. Not to a card or to the camera itself. It says "picture" and just gets stuck there.

Anyway, it's the cuddeback no flash and they are pricey to say the least..

Has anyone ever dealt with cuddeback customer service? I logged online and they want 100.00 upfront to just send it back and have it looked at. I may try calling to see if I can get any further but wanted to see if anyone has been through this bs....

Ya, my uncle and put a camera out and said it had 65 pics and then we check it and it says theres no pics on it.. Lesson learned always use an SD card. Does it not save to either in your case?

Ya it's not saving to the card or the camera.. I've tried everything I can to "troubleshoot" and can't get it to work right...

I'm also having problems with one of my C3000 Cuddeback's and talked to customer service on Friday. They want $200 to repair this older model and would only give me $50 as a trade in on the Capture. My camera is only taking an occasional video and no pictures. This is on a food plot that another C3000was getting 100 pictures/videos per week.

Customer service also recommended I format my CF card on a PC using FAT (not FAT32 and not on the camera) so I'll try that first before I retire this camera for parts.

Good luck, I've also seen where fresh batteries sometimes help with the "writing picture" forever situation.

Thats a shame, 100.00 bucks is alot of money just to have someone look at it. Another member posted something about Cudde wanting 100 bucks for a service fee a while back.
I cant (or wont) pay that kind of money for a trail cam, the bears will just chew them up.
.

From my wifes cheap 49.95 (or something like that) WildvieW. No time, but I can see their coming in in the daylight!

Moultrie D40, Tom got these on sale for like 69.95 and they do all we need them to!

I sure hope they take care of you, Good Luck.

I have the Moultrie D40 also, and it does a fine job. I actually have a picture posted in my other thread, if you want to see the picture quality!

cabelas is selling the moultrie d40 for 79.95. And Moultrie has excellent customer service IMO.

You would think for the money cuddeback charges for a camera they would take better care of their customers.
