Well, we're out of gas here in Middle Tennessee. That's right, no gas at the pump. Gas stations have white bags on all the pumps and no one knows when we're going to get more. The pipeline that feeds Tennessee, the Continental Pipeline (I think is what it's called), was damaged during Hurricane Ike. They've got it back up and running, but with a huge break in the supply line, there's no telling when we will be replenished.
I'm not going to complain too much about the gas shortage because the folks down in Texas have endured much worse. But the thing that's pissin me off is the all liberals cruising around in their hatchbacks and their Prius and other battery powered cars with these smart a** smirks on their faces. Liberals are one thing, but the thing that is at the front of my mind and my main concern is the bow season opener. Bow season opens next weekend and if we don't get more gas by the end of this week, I'm gonna be sitting in the backyard shooting my block instead of sitting in my tree stand [

].
If we don't get gas by next Friday, my options are as follows:
1 - Pack a backpack, grab my bow, and start walking to West Tennessee. I could be there by Friday night if I start walking now.
2 - I could stay home, walk down to Shelby Park and set up at first light (before the joggers and cyclists get there) and take a crack at one of the park does. Only risk is that she'll bleed out in a neighbor's yard.
3 - I could hijack a liberal's Prius and make him drive me to West Tennessee.
I'm leaning towars #3

.
I will be out of town this week. I have a ride to the airport to conserve my 1/8th tank of gas. Hopefully this will all be resolved by the time I get back.
Mods - I'm fine if you move this. I'm just nervous about if I'm gonna be able to make opening day or not.
