Default did i make a bad mistake or is it ok

I set my stand up on a creek the creek is just to the west of me and there is also a thicket i think the deer bed in on the other side of the creek just to the west northwest.Mystand sits about 5 to 10 yards off of a trail that comes out of the corner of the of the thicket and across the creek. My stand is straight north of the trail. Last year it seemed i had a mainly south to south west wind or a south east wind.
now i lookat the weather we will have a north northwest wind all this week and season opensoct 1st.
Should i move the stand to the south of the trail. or will the wind come from the south most of the time.
I am in south west Indiana if it helps.

You can leave it where it is but make sure you only hunt it on days when the wind is right for it. Thats why I try to have several stands in each place I hunt, if wind isn't right for one I can go hunt another.

It helps to have multiple stand locations which will work for different wind directions.

If i were you I would find a second stand location which wil work for N/NW winds.

If you are only 5-10 yds N of the trail you are fine for a NNW wind. That stand should be good in anything froma NE (going counterclockwise) to a S wind.

It's usually a good idea to have stands for different winds.

As long as the wind isn't blowing directly into the bed, go give it a shot.

In the future, you may want to consider hanging your stands a tad farther off the trail.

i know i knew i was to close but it was that or 15 yards out with the deer looking straight at me.
or 40 yards off with no shot on the trail.
