3 days away from season and EVERYTHING I OWN IS WRONG!!

So I had some time to kill and was with in a short distance of a local bow shop (not where I bought my bow). I was amazed that the shopI go to could have done this to me. They sold me everything that does not work. I found out that the animals I have killed did not really die from from the mechanicals I am using. I also found out that my string will break any second because I have fired over 2000 shots with it (actually going on 6-7k). Then horrror upon horrors I found out that my BOW is an overpriced piece of market price crap (Drenalin 08) and it doesnt really shoot 320 fps (chrono at 291 with 406 grain arrow. Granted I am pretty new at this but I just did not know that EVERYTHING in my arsenal was going to blow up and result in only injured animals unless the limbs gave out first. I am kind of sad.

BULL****!!! Do archery stores really believe that this will help them make a sale? Everything works and will kill animals. You just got to use it right and have confidence.

So a Drenalin is a piece of crap? Everyone I know that owns one really likes it. 291fps with a 406 grain arrow does not sound bad at all. What is your DL and DW? Your BH will not kill an animal? What BH are you shooting? I can understand a string needing to be replaced after 6K shoots, but that is a pretty easy fix. I cannot tell by reading this if you are really believing what is being told to you by this shop. But in case you are, please know that there are a lot of shops out there that will talk your current equipmend down in hopes of getting you buy something from them.

Exactly why I made my last trip into our local shop several years ago. I went in only to pick up some field points, and watched as the guy behind the counter told a customer, even though he was just there to get a new string, "that rest really doesn't work for hunting". The rest was a whisker biscuit. I couldn't keep it in, asked the guy why the world he would tell someone that, told the customer they worked just fine and that I had 18 or 20 dead animals to prove it. I put my field pts back on the counter and left. That shop is no longer in business, BTW.

Its apparent that a certain archery store in your area doesn't want your business. Preety much they told you that every decision is crap so there for you are crap for making them. I know that if I shot a deer this year I would be taking it there to showthem that your "overpriced piece of market price crap bow" with its "string will break any second" and mechanicals that can't kill anything just did.

I love my drenelin , and 291fps is extremely good, when they advertize it at 320fps, you will see that is small print , what they shot it at to aquire that speed. example; 29 inch draw,70 lbs, 400 grain arrow, etc... come on bro.. the string issueis about the only truth i hear in your story,, and if your shooting 6k worth of arrows this year alone, as you stated as you have a mathews drenelin 08 , and strings with 6k arrows shots, you are a shooting machine,, I would get a second option , sounds like the shop guy was having fun with you , and trying to get you to ditch your current set up, and push something else on you,, good luck,

I cant tell either if you are serious or not either but I know where you are are coming from. I dont even go the shop by my house anymore b/c I cant stand the archery tech there. He seems to find everything wrong with your equipment. I was thinking that it might be the same shop seeing that it says your from florida but at my place the tech is absolutly in love with Matthews bows. Your string probably does need replacing pretty soon like someone else said but that can easily fixed. Dont let that guy get to you, all he wants to do is sell you one of his bows.
