Call your local Game and Fish and ASK THEM.
You're going to get nothing but misinformation here and possibly get yourself in trouble.

You can honestly look at that bag or bucket or bottle of stuff and tell yourself it might not be bait?

Anyone trying to justify it's use in a state where baiting is illegal is probably not someone I would want to hunt with, and IMO is simply grasping for a loophole in the law.

Why do you even have to ask? "ok i live in indiana where baiting is illegal." What is c'mere deer and what does it do? It's baitbecause itattracts deer.
You may use it and get away with it. I'm sure ther are a bunch of guys who do.But for me, I would have to think every time I looked at it, "I had to break the law to get it. I couldn't get it legally."

Is that next deer worth that much to you?

BTW, Around here, they do test the soil if they suspect baiting. They know where to look and what to look for. And a positive soil sample istough to beatin court.

Good luck to you what ever you decide.

Sounds like you should learn your state's regs thoroughly...it is considered bait here in MI so it is illegal....

if it is illegal i would and will not use it. someone said it was legal since they do not eat it but on the bag it says spray it on anything and they will eat it sounds like bait to me
I do think indiana needs to change the law

Bigtim, this is from the IN DNR on their website:

What is "baiting"?

Answer: Baiting includes any of the following: 1) a solid or liquid that is transported and intended for consumption, 2) salt, and 3) mineral blocks. An area is considered baited for ten (10) days after the removal of the bait or the baited soil. Hunting an orchard, or another area which may be attractive to deer as a result of normal agricultural activity, is not prohibited. Farmer's salt for livestock is not bait.

Bottom line. C'mere Deer is illegal in Indiana.
