Default Wisconsin Opening Weekend

RAIN!!! RAIN!!!! and MORE RAIN!!!!!!! None the less I enjoyed myself. Saw plenty of deer and let a real nice 10 walk. Some may remember a few years back I shot a huge buck 14 pointer with junk all over and it started to rain hard after that, seached for 3 days and never did find him. I vowed again never to shoot another great buck in the rain again. Its early and hes still around, he came in again lastnight at the same time, 7:13. Hope he shows up tonight. Should be a good week. Howd everyone elses weekend go in Wi?

Weekend sucked for the most part. It was raining just too hard by me to get out on Sat morning. It let up about midday and I was able to get out later that afternoon but didn't see anything. The wind didn't switch as it was supposed to, so I had to hunt a different stand than planned - a stand that is a much better late season stand as it's just too thick for early season. I also have a feeling that most of the deer had already gotten up and moved to the corn fields by the time I was off work and able to get out in the stand (4.5hrs after it stopped raining[:@]). I will be out again this weekend and my father should be out a time or two during the week as well.

My brother went out yesterday and seen 2 bucks and a doe of which one was a huge one with points everywhere
right by my ladder stand. He watched it thrash this brush for about 5 minutes.[:@]
He was in the stand that I killed my big boy from.

Torn right now either work it so I can enjoy the whole gun season up North

I was only able to get out on Sunday morning. I saw one 4pt buck at 09:00 and that was it. Hopefully will be able to get out for some afternoon hunts this week.
