Default looking for string wax

Hi all, i've stopped using my bow because im in dire need of string wax. Do you know where I could buy it here? No bow shops local to me.

When you wax the strings is it every single string on the bow, bus cables etc? Not sure, its my first time [&:]

Yes wax the string & cables. Not sure where you can pick some up over there. Or if there are any types of other wax that could be used in a pinch.

just heat up some candle wax a little and smear it on, its gotta be better then nothing...

Beeswax should be available the world over, even in Scotland. It will work fine.

Parafin wax from the cooking aisle might work. Used for candle making and for cooking.

Do not do this,the build up will be horrible.You need to stick with actuall bowstring wax and not the cheap stuff.I really like Dalton's string wax sold at www.lancasterarchery.com but shipping would be outrageous,IF they will.


You don't want to wax the serving as well and use it only when needed to prevent excessive build up.

id say order it from cabelas or bass pro shops shipping may be high but its worth keeping your bow fixed right
