Default Silencing a Treestand

Ive got an old man treestand climber. It is pretty much all steel tubing and im concerned about the noise that is generated when packing it in and out of my hunting grounds. I was thinking about covering it with pipe insulation (fastening with zip ties). Question: Will the tubing/zip tiebring along unwanted smell or emit UV signal to the deer?

The tubing and zip ties will not bring along any more scent than the rest of the stand. Use black zip ties and tubing and UV will not be an issue. You could also consider spraying foam insulation (in the can) in the tubing of your stand to hehlp quiet somewhat.
