Default anybody ever buy their camo from a army surplus store?

just wondering, i just bought a G.I. issued chemical suit with charcoal and carbon inside the suit.this is the original scentlocing suit, because of the charcoal and carbon not just the carbon alone like in the other scentlocing camo.plus with this suit you don`t wash it,when you are done hunting just take off turn insideout and rinse off with garden hose and hang to dry.the charcoal and carbon inside the suit only lasts a year if taken care of.i got mine in woodland camo but they are other colors to choose from such as desert storm, olive green and other colors i`m sure.i paid $40.00 for mine but some surplus stores have them cheaper!

I get a lot of my camo from the surplus stores. Most of the pant designs out there are nothing more than Military BDU type pants - same goes for jackets and shirts. There's one by me that has many of the Realtree camo patterns in the BDUs for the same prices as the regular military issue stuff. Hard to beat the prices and you're basically getting the same thing.

IMO, if the camo at cabela's had a more effective pattern than the camo used in the military, the military would change it. Best thing about army surplus stores is there are no "brand names", and consequently you dont have to pay for them.
As for the scent lock, I have no experience with that stuff.

I think the digital camo they have out now works great. a friend of mine that is just out of the service uses it and it works for him

my military son bought me a nice digital set last year..I love it..The only down fall..those darn velcro pockets are too noisy for hunting..so I put stuff in those pockets that I wouldn't betaking out while inthe stand. ..such as plastic gloves, compass, flagger tape etc..I also got a stretch hood garmet that covers everything but my eyes,,same dgital design...I love that..worked great during gobbler season
