I have a PSE Deer hunter that i goot as a christmas present 2 yrs ago and i got a deer with it in the first 3 weeks, but now i want a better bow but still want some dough in my wallet, and it will only shoot about 10 - 15 inchs into a foam block knockoff, where as my dads bow will almost shoot all the way through amnd i am drawing more than he is so i was wondering wheter or not to get a decent paralel limb bow or bit the bullet and save for about three months and buy a top of the line.
Thank you for time if you read this.
If you're shooting well now, save some cash and get a new bow after the season is over. IMO it's getting a little late to be making MAJOR changes to a hunting setup. Besides, the bow has taken deer down before, why settle on replacing something (that isn't broken to begin with) with something that you won't be quite satisfied with?

I wouldn't change bows this late in the game. Shoot what you have this year and buy a close out 2008 or a brand new 2009 after the season is over.

when I bought my first compound bow this year, I saved, researched, and bought the bow that I thought would last me a lifetime. Hunt with the one you got this year, save your money, and buy one bow that you will love for a long time.
Also check to see that your arrows are flying straight. If you bow is out of tune and your arrows aren't flying true and hitting the target straight on, you will loose a ton of penetration right there.
This late in the game, I would stick with what you have this season. No need to hit the woods with equipment your are not familiar with. That is what the off season is for. Breaking in new equipment.
well went 2 a dif shop 2 day and confirmed that the other guys scale was off, back 2 last yrs weight and still a 1/2 in shorter, could that be were some of my pentetration went 2. as far a arrows go there flying great i mean there all going into a soda can sized hole at 35yds and they are into the block the same as last yr, maybe i am just paranoid
