Default Another bowhunter is born LOL

I have been telling my buddy about how great archery/bowhunting is since I began with it. Been trying to convince him that it is the way to go. He has been strictly firearms until yesterday LOL.

He decided he was going to give it a go so I told him I would give him a bow to get started. Well he came over last weekend (a week ago) and tried out the bow. Even turned down to about 62 it turned out to be a bit much for him learn on with that particular bow so I let him try out another bow at about 58# and he really liked that bow. I told him they had an excellent deal on that model at bowhunterssuperstore so he bought one. He got it to me last thursday and I put a sight and rest on it, got him some practice arrows made and then we went through some basic shooting yesterday when he cam to pick it up. He did real well with it at my house and he left pretty pumped. Well, I get a call today and he was totally psyched about archery and the thought of bowhunting. He was practiicing in his yard last night and steadily improved so that he started getting good groups (at 15 yards) and that pumped him up even more. The goal is for him to practice until next season and be ready to take his first deer with a bow then.

So now I am totally psyched to have him into this and am looking forward to the 09-10 deer season and bowhunting deer with him.

Add one more to the ranks

That's great of you to help a buddy out. If he practices every night for the next month he could be ready this season and that should really fire him up.
