Default when to rattle

what is the earliest that you should rattle? and how early do buck decoys work?

Shortly after bucks shed their velvet they start pushing around a bit especially when they are still in little bachelor groups.......you can raise some curiosity by tickling them together to simlulate some gentle "feeling out" between 2 bucks.

Don't start whacking them together until Pre-rut or right through the rut in your area.......when the deer start actively seeking does but aren't tied up yet is probably the best time to call them with any method.

OK I led you on enuf. I don't think it does much until around oct 25 or so. But thats around certain areas...... others it just doesn't work at all
