Default Stabilizers

Is using a stabilizer really all that important?
If so, what are some of the things it effects/helps?

Default RE: Stabilizers

Yer gonna get mixed feelings on a question like that. Personally, I screw in a sound dampener when hunting, big stabilizer when going for long distance accuracy.

I'm by no means an expert on it, but I've heard that unless a stabilizer is longer than a foot, its quite useless. However, I'm not a good enough shooter to verify this.
