Default New Arrows...

I was just wondering how often you should get new arrows for practice/hunting.... I was thinking about getting new ones this year i have been shooting beaman ICS hunters and was wondering as well if the shorter vanes are a better choice or not for hunting and shooting broadheads..?

Thanks
DL

Default RE: New Arrows...

I get new arrows and/or refletch as needed based on how beat up my arrows are...

I tried the Blazers out of my bow and couldn't get clearance with a Black Ice , TT Shakey Hunter and stock cable slide...I plan on switching my cable slide now but I am now shooting 4" quikspins and like them a lot.

I agree, no reason to replace arrows unless you're not satisfied with what you have for some reason. I replace them if they get busted, RH'd, I striped on a couple weeks ago, shooting at 24, 32, 40yds, I dropped and arrow in and it sounded "different, but when I got to the target, they weren't as tight as I thought. Well, I go back to shooting, and as I draw, I realize what the sound was, I'd hit the arrow in the side of the shaft, and busted the shaft and weakened it enough that fibers of it started to separate as I drew the bow.
