I was just curious who here does not use string silencers on their hunting bows? I have always used one kind or another myself but I know a guy that thinks they are totaly unecessary IF you shoot a fairly quiet bow already. I guessa whitetail will always hear the bow and the thinking is that he will react the same unless it is very load. I can respect that thinking even though I still use them. I may add a string suppressor later and not use the silencers then. What do you all think about not using string silencers?

I took them off of my Allegiance after installing an STS.
With some form of string suppressor, I don't find them necessary.

I dont use any string silencers, I have a MeanV suppressor, and believe me, If you get a string suppressor, you'll never wanna shoot a bow without one.

I don't have any on my Marquis that came with a short stop(Bowtech's string supressor) and It's whisper quiet. I Believe that silencers are not needed with a suppressor installed.
