The Maxima has a straightness of .025, the 3D select is .001. The Maxima hunter is also .025, but it has weight forward technology and weighs a bit more.

I've shot all 3, can't complain about any of them. I think the 3D selects are like....10 bucks more than the regular maxima's, and for me the tighter tolerances were worth 10 small bills. Personally, I would go with the Maxima Hunters, but you won't hurt yourself either way.

Personally, I'd go with the Maxima Hunters for all around shooting, they are very tough arrows and well suited to hunting and all around shooting as well.
