Default Burying Minerals

How deep should minerals be buried or should they just be put on top of the ground. i was told that i should bury mineral licks and deer cane if i put them out. Any suggestions.

Default RE: Burying Minerals

Just remove the top layer of soil. I used a tiller attatchment for a weedeater and It worked awesome. The deer will dig a hole for you.
