My good friend Miles is in the Army Guard here in St. Joseph, Mo and sent me this email. His friend Dwane(see pic) is responsible for making sure the deer population doesn't get outta control around the base and especially around the runways.. He spotlights these deer and shoots them all with a .308. This was going to be a helluva a buck. The MissouriDept.of Conservationtook the cape and will be on exhibit at theconservation dept. in St. Joseph, Mo. I forgot to post this when I got the email last month.
Miles, here you go. Shot 4:40 a.m. 18 Jul in bean field between runways
13/31 and 17/35. Shot at 225 yards.
Counted 17 points with another point looking like it was going to split off of one of the forks. Field Dressed at 315 lbs.

Yawn....
Maybe Yawn to you but I think that shot is quite impressive. I would bet dollar to donuts that the majority of gun hunters couldn't hit a deer at 225 yards during mid day, let alone at night with spotlight by themselves. Great deer nontheless.

Sorry.....this is legalized poaching.
Just my .02........
Im with GMMAT on this one. At the very least they could bring in people to actually hunt for these deer. Doesnt Fort Knox do something of that sort?
