Default Hog thickness???

For those of yall that have shot hogs with your bows, was it tougher for your arrow to make it through than a deer. like maybe it was still a pass through but uyou could tell it was tougher or did you use bigger broadheads or anything.

Default RE: Hog thickness???

I never have noticed a difference between the two, and I use the same mechanical broadhead for both.

I have dropped them with both, I like a fixed blade for hogs, be sure you look at the vitals placement, they are a touch different then deer.

Have shot some thick pigs, and didn't get a full pass thru, where if it were a deer, I think it would have.

I would think that if you are worried about penetration (and with hogs it is an honest concern) you would want to go with a smaller broadhead instead of bigger. That should help with penetration. I have asked several questions on this site about hog hunting since I am going for the first time in March and I have decided to go with the Slick Trick 125 gr. standards.
