we have it in part of a class called life time sports as a gym class. it is a week long and you cant bring in your own bow. and the teacher who has never stepped into a deer woods or have even shot a bow at all other than the one day she "shows" you how to shoot has no idea what she is talking about and but i wish it was a class called archery where you could bring in your own bow. but my school would find that a threat to the school and would not allow it. my school has had like 20 bomb threats in the last 3 years so they are not very leniant on what they let the kids do.

No fewer than 4 of the local school districts in my area have an archery portion of gym class (they use the Genesis bow). Can't wait for my kids to get to that class.

i did it with a 20 pound draw wal mart special bow. i couldn't shoot to save my life with the bows we were using. after the first day, i was hitting the bulls eye no problem. i was number one of the top 3 shooters.

Our middle schools and high school actually have an archery team. The have competed nationally and have been national champs.

It is another great tool to keep kids interested in something besides running around and getting in trouble.Especially those that may not be gifted with speed or height,or something else that is usually needed to compete in other sports.

I have yet to see a young person shoot a bow and not like it or think it was cool.
