DT....you wanted more speed you should have stayed with the Binary Bowtech.

To answer you question....I don't think its a step back, if you want a tracer nock.

I really wasnt and still are not looking for a speed bow. I just want to get the max out of my bow without sacrificing tuning. I really liked my General, but I had some issues with the limbs- on TWO entirely different Generals.

I'm happy with the 290fps range......I think I would get into the 300 range with a cam swap and my same arrow set up.
If I were shooting the around 5 GPP I would be shooting aver 300 fps with my Marquis. With the cam swap you should be getting close to that.
