Default .010 pins for hunting

First off,I have always hunted with .029 because the fibers of old weren't as bright as the fibers of today.Well,I bought a sword with .010 pins for taget shooting and had reservation about trying to hunt with them but thought I would test them out just to see what I thought.Glad I did because I have NO PROBLEMS seeing them in the lowest of light conditions.

I have a huge worn out spot on me Morrel target and decided I would try to hit the center at 20 yards right at dark.I was pleasently surprised how well I could see the pins.

I used the light on it's lowest setting for 3 shots and didn't use it all for 3,I couldn't tell any difference in impact.

Here is the group, pretty good considering it was dark and I was aiming for center instead of at a spot.

The pic was taken with my cell phone and the flash on.

I wish they made a .010 for my TR sight, Ever since I seen a .010 on Jeffs viper sight Ive been wanting one. I currently have a .019 which I like pretty well also but .029 I dont care for much.

I really don't mind .029 for actually hunting but hated them when just shooting.I like these really well for anything.

I got some .010 on my Viper also, no trouble seeing them in the low light, if I add a light to it is really glows!!

I can't wait until HHA comes out with their .010" pins for their sights next year. Mine has .019" as it is butI will be refitting mine with a new pin housing as soon as they are available.

I really held off and had a lot of reservations about using them for hunting but I really don't think I will have any problems with them.I believe any of those shots would have killed a deer.[8D]

I did shoot a shot the other night on a 3-d target but it was a little lighter out and it was more in the open.My yard has overhanging trees.

My first Viper has .019 pins for 20 and 30 but .010 for 40 and 50. My new sights have all .010 pins.

.029 pins are just WAY too large for my liking.
