Default To Late to Scout

Ok, I have an area that I want to hunt on opening day, an oak flat bordered on 3 sides by bedding area, if I'm blessed w/ a good wind I'll be there.

I havnt been near that area since march, I'm dying to sneak through it to see if the oaks are loaded w/ acorns or not (fertilized them last fall ) I also want to snip some limbs as a trail to my tree.

Season is 4 weeks away, should I just wait till opening day for the suprise??

I'm going in tomorrow morning (nearer to lunchtime)to do the same thing.....same scenario. I'm doing this in 2 different spots.

I'm not worried in the least.

Not at all.. Patterns will change somewhat once corn and beans come out. Then change again when we get closer to fall.. I have cameras out and I'm watching from adistance. Scout till you hunt (just don't get too close too much) then once your hunting scout while hunting...

Wait until you have a rainy/high wind day....or both to scout it.
