Default Would you paint a LONE WOLF?

I have the alpha hand climber and am contemplating whether I should paint it some sort of camo scheme or not. First concern is that because it isn't painted, it might stick out in the tree. Second, there is a small spot (the size of a dime) where the paint rubbed off, either from the factory or from transit. This spot actually is as bright as a dime and reflects light.

What would you do?

I did, I hit it with a flat black sparingly just to lessen what I perceived as a slight shine, especially in brighter sun.

This might sound redneckish but I just take camo duck tape to all of my stands and place it around the perimeter of the parts of my climber. It really breaks up the outline of the climber very quickly and it costs nothing/easy to do.

Like Gr8, I took a can of flat black and streaked both my Alpha Hang On and my Alpha Hand Climber to break them up -- probably about every four to six inches or so around.

Like Greg/MO and GR8 I used some flat black paint left over from the bbq grill and did some "zebra stripes" to break up the outline of the stand and lessen the shine. Don't know what the deer think but I certainly think it blends in better.

Unless the deer is climbing the tree, I cannot imagine how or why it would matter. I shoot deer with no facemask in full blaze orange.... hold still and watch the wind.... save yourself some time and trouble....

Swamp, take a look at my Predator pictorial thread and you can get an idea of why it would matter.

That was before I applied the flat black to break it up; that aluminum can really catch the sun and shine a good reflection back at the ground.

Use some hockey tape and forget about it! It deadens (sp) noise as well.

If it was me, I would make sure I could pet him before I tried anything else.
