Default 3D Biatholon

I have never been to a 3d shoot, but does anyone do a 3D shoot that is set around a course and scored like a biatholon? Trail set up and targets out there at different distances and the contestant is timed going through the course with deductions for misses and bad hits, that type of thing?

If not, would there be an interest in this type of course?

If its already out there, NEVER MIND!

I brought up this very question a few months back. I think it would be a fun offset of traditional 3d. Have a course of X number of targets at varying distance AND long and short distances from each other. Time each participant as they work their way through the course. Fastest time with the least deductions in score wins.

That's what I am talking about. My property is hilly and I could set up a course that would be about 1 1/2 miles long with different targets at various shooting distances. Set up a course with 12 - 15 targets and each shooter makes his/her way through the course with time added for missed shots and shots outside the vital areas. See who could make it from start to finish with shortest time. I think it would have to have age groups because the older dudes don't move that fast. Gonna give it a try next summer.
