Default Checking Cams

How often do most of you check your trail cam for new pictures? I have never set one up before until this weekend, and didn't know how often to check for new pictures. Any advice or tips would be appreciated!

I would give it a week and go check it to see how things are turning out, after that i would give in 2 weeks. with the hunting season coming up i would try and stay out of there as much as possible!

Thanks guys! I figured I would wait at least a week at a time. I guess I will just have to see what I have on film the first time!

First time camera setters hardly ever make a week with out setting it. I could just see it with a monster buck on it and it haunts me, I caved in after 3 days.

I would say 3 or 4 this first time to make sure that things are going smoothly. That way you dont waste time leaving it out when it's not doing anything.

I usuallyonly check mine every 2 weeks. On occasion, my curiosity gets the best of me though.

I usualy check mine once a week. I like to move mine around alot to see what kind of deer I have and if they are on anykind of consistant pattern. I all depends on what kind of camera you have. Some better models can go months and take thousands of pictures before the memory card is full or the batteries die, but some cheaper ones will last less than a week depending on how many pictures it takes.
