Default Blazer Vanes with fixed broadheads..

I have thought about putting a 2 inch vane on my next dozen arrows for awhile now. However, I have heard from some that shooting a Blazer or Quick Spin vane with my Montecs will create some problems since they will not guide the head the same as the old 4 inch vanes.

I'm just curious on what you guys think would happen, or if anyone uses this setup or one similar

IME Blazers work fine with Slick Trick standards.

HUH??? They are designed to help fixed blade broadheads fly better.. I have shot blazers with with the Montecs and Strikers.. I have the same impact point as my field points do.. Of course results will differ but the blazers are just fine with fixed blade heads.. Give em a shot..

I started using the Blazers the first year they came out switching from four inch feathers, and I love them. I shoot them with 100gr Slick Trick Magnums on Axis arrows, and they hit dead on with my field tips.

I shot blazers with montecs just fine. I also shot blazers with Muzzy 3 blades, fine.

IMO, there isn't a conflict, here.

Same here. Montecs fly awesome with blazers . (Yes, I switched from feathers to blazers on my compound.)

I shoot slick trick magnums with blazers and my wife shoots Montecs with them, and they all fly real well. Nothing at all to worry about.
