"How do you locate a HOTT staging area ?"

The best way is to try and glass the field edges from a distance in the evening to try and determine where the bucks are entering the field from. If this is not possible, try and determine where the bedding areas are and draw a line from there to the locations where you have seen bucks in the firelds in the early evening. Somewhere between point A and point B could possibly be a staging area!

Your best bet at a staging area will come when the bean brown up and the acorns start dropping. Once that happens find yourself some white oaks and favorable wind and you'll be covered up in deer. Until then you could glass the field edge and once you know where they are coming out from go in and follow back there trails and see if you can find some browsing areas.

The acorns will be your ticket though.
