Default Drop away Question.

I baught a drop away rest the other day, its a trophy taker dont know the exact model. I know its not the full concielment model they make. What is holding the arrow on the rest when your not at full draw? Like when my bow is hanging in the tree is my arrow still being help up by the rest a little bit? I wont get my bow back from the shop still Wednesday.

Default RE: Drop away Question.

The rest should have two pieces that came with it that have adhesive on the back. One is for dampening the rest when it drops and the other is notched to keep your arrow in place until you draw. You will also want to make sure you have moleskin on the prongs of the rest to keep it silent while drawing your arrow.
