It seems a lot of it is surfacing and we can debate all day about whether or not people are abusing the BT General by shooting light arrows or using the wrong press etc.... Ihave heard of Bt limbs exploding and Mathews and even PSE, but I have never heard of a Hoyt having these issues.. Are they below the radar or are they really that well built as they advertise?? This is not to start an arguement, just give your opinion of Hoyt's toughness. I have had a Hoyt before and never had issues with it. They seem to be really heavy and strong.

There was a picture here a few months ago with a Katera limb splintering a small piece off. Truth be told any company could have issues if they get a bad batch of resin in their epoxy, etc.

It's what you shoot if you aren't jumping on the bandwagon. Hey, haven't you been having serious issues with your non-Hoyt bow limbs not being stiff enough lately Buckmaster?

Limbs not being stiff enough??? mmmm.... Dont think so, I know what your talking about though... and If my cables were twisted correctly by the "shop techs" i wouldnt be having my problem
PS, If you knew the deal I got on my bow, you'd be on the Bandwagon too.

You base your decision on the deal? I didn't let price be my guiding decision, I went out and found what worked best for my mediocre shooting style.

Let me start by saying I don't know what the other companies do for testing I'm just passing along what I know. Hoyt TEC risers are designed to withstand 1500 dryfires 80# @ 30" If they fail before the 1500 mark they are sent back to the engineers and anything that may have failed is redesigned. Limbs are required to wtihstand 1000 (I think) dryfires before they fail. Also the split limb design reduces weak points on the limbs. As stated above, anything can cause a bow to self destruct but Hoyt has put a lot of time an effort into making sure this doesn't happen. Good Shooting!
